I did it!

Multiple times a week, one or more FPR staff members hear the same familiar question:
“Guess what?!”

What follows is usually some version of:
I got accepted.
I passed the test.
I got the job.
I figured it out.
I did it.

Some of the hardest days at FPR are when we learn about the very real and difficult circumstances our participants are facing. We know life brings challenges, and a core part of our work is showing up—consistently and unconditionally.

That’s why some of the greatest moments are when participants come back to share what they’ve accomplished. From being accepted to a top-choice college, to passing a class, finding their voice, repairing a friendship, or simply making it through a hard season—we are privileged to witness their growth and celebrate these milestones together.

And we enjoy bragging about all their accomplishments!

Since 2019, FPR has awarded 58 scholarships to deserving participants for a total of $278,000. The Class of 2019 FPR Scholarship Recipients have all graduated from college with a bachelor degree or a technical school certification and two of them are pursuing another degree. 93% of all FPR Scholarship Recipients are still enrolled in a Certification Program, Technical School, or University.
